I provide 1 to 1 or small group sessions of either an hour or half an hour. For children in KS1 or children who struggle to focus for long periods of time I would suggest 1 or 2 half hour sessions a week.

 

I offer all new starters a free getting to know you session where you and your child can come and meet me and we can discuss what you would like to achieve during our sessions. Once we have met if both you and your child are happy I will book you in to begin regular sessions.

 

In a 1 to 1 session I will work with your child on content that we have agreed before tutoring begins. 1 hour sessions can be split between different subjects according to your child's needs or focus on one area in particular.

 

In a group session we cover both English and Maths and children are grouped according to key stage and ability with no more than 4 children per group.

 

I do set homework tasks which should be completed by your son/daughter independently and which will be based on the content we covered during our session.

 

I firmly believe tutoring should enhance a child's educational experience and I aim to work with schools to ensure your child receives targeted support where they need it. When we first meet I will ask you to provide a copy of your child's latest school report or, if your child's teacher has identified a particular area of weakness, to provide me with that information.
